My parents were born in Mexico and I have been there once and I fell in love with my country. It’s absolutely gorgeous and has so much to discover there, it’s like a mystery. When I went to Mexico I was about to be 8 years old and I stayed there for almost 4 years, therefore, I know Mexico like the palm of my hand. Some of these places are very known with those views there’s no doubt why they are so known.
Lake Pátzcuaro, Michoacán
Michoacán is where my parents were born and one of the most beautiful places: is this lake. It also has a little island in the middle of it, and it’s very popular because of its Statue in the middle. The lake is known for having one of the world’s highest lakes, as well as being one of the most stunning natural places on the planet. It is encircled by 26 indigenous settlements, each with its history and stories.
Lago De Camécuaro National Park, Michoacán
The lake is well-known for its crystal pure water and lush vegetation that surrounds it. The trees remind me of the big tree from the Pocahontas movie.
Playa del Carmen
It’s a cosmopolitan seaside resort with a diverse gourmet offering, as well as a vast range of hotel and entertainment alternatives. The majority of the activities take place on Playa del Carmen’s famous beaches, a few of which are mere minutes from the main road, La Quinta Avenida. You may lease a fishing boat or a dive boat from the local marina and explore the surrounding Cozumel and the Caribbean Sea. The popular Xcaret eco-park, just a few kilometers south, shows the Mayan Riviera’s fauna and marine life. In addition, there are several appealing golf courses located across the city. The Coralina Daylight Club is a great place to go if you want to experience Playa’s nightlife.
Izamal, Yucatan (yellow city)
Izamal, with its colorful colonial heritage, accessible old ruins, and welcoming, small-town vibe, is full of charm. For reasons that will become clear later, Izamal is also known as the Yellow City. Izamal is remarkable in that it has so much to offer travelers in terms of Mayan and Spanish colonial cultural monuments, superb gastronomy, and a variety of lodging options, but it is still relatively unknown to visitors from outside of Mexico.
Mazatlán, Sinaloa
Mazatlán is a beach resort tourist town with tens of kilometers of beautiful beaches and wonderful weather, especially in the winter! Tens of thousands of visitors and snowbirds arrive from the United States and Canada between the beginning of November and the end of April. Mazatlán is also recognized for its exciting nightlife, wonderful restaurants, and culture! There are several pubs and restaurants along the beachfront, as well as nightclubs for the younger crowd. Every night, there is also live music and dancing.
Acapulco
Acapulco, Mexico’s original party town, has a beautiful topography of soaring cliffs curving into a succession of broad bays and tiny coves surrounded by jungle-green hills.
Los Cabos
There are two “Cabo” towns: San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. These sibling towns, despite their proximity, could not be more dissimilar. Cabo San Lucas is a considerably livelier and energetic town that attracts visitors who want to explore all day and party all night. San Jose del Cabo is a more laid-back destination that invites you to unwind, refuel, and reconnect.
Mérida, Yucatan
For the second year in a row, Merida, Mexico, has been selected the American Capital of Culture, underlining the Yucatán capital’s wealth. Its beaches, jungle, and tiny towns make for a relaxing vacation. Expect a trip that is equal parts beautiful tropical jungle and stylish city life, Yucatecan food and colonial architecture and history, and probably the region’s most magnificent Mayan ruins.
Chichén Itza, Yucatan
This sacred place was formerly one of the Yucatán Peninsula’s most important Mayan centers. Various peoples have left their imprint on the city during the course of its approximately 1,000-year history. In their stone monuments and artistic works, the Maya and Toltec visions of the world and universe are presented. Chichen-Itza is one of the most prominent Mayan-Toltec civilization sites in Yucatán, thanks to the fusion of Mayan construction techniques with new materials from central Mexico. The Warriors’ Temple, El Castillo, and El Caracol, a circular observatory, are among the structures that have survived.
Puerto Vallarta
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, on the country’s Pacific coast, will entice you with the landscape, interest you with history, and tease you with flavor. The city and its environs, all with a laid-back feel, are sure to take your breath away and make you fall in love with Puerto Vallarta. It boasts a one-of-a-kind blend of beauty, romance, natural wonders, and nightlife, and ecotourism and adventure abound thanks to the magnificent Sierra Madre Mountains wrapping around the shimmering Bay of Banderas. Cancun, Yucatan
Cancun is Mexico’s designated party capital, with excellent beachfront access to the Caribbean Sea. The Yucatan coast near Cancun is the best place to watch endangered whale sharks in the world. Whale sharks are the world’s largest fish, at around the same size as a school bus. Nichupte Lagoon, just west of Cancun’s main beach, is encircled by a mangrove jungle, cut through with twisting canals, and teeming with wildlife. Once you get the hang of driving, tiny two-seater speed boats are the most entertaining way to explore the lagoon.
Sumidero Canyon, Chiapas
In the Mexican state of Chiapas, this canyon is one of the most gorgeous and spectacular vistas. The water levels rose substantially when the dam was built, providing an extraordinarily deep and calm river that tour boats and taxi boats can easily navigate.
Gran Cenote, Tulum
Gran Cenote is a big and well-known cenote just outside of Tulum. It consists of a series of caves, caverns, and an open-air cenote that are linked by meandering wooden boardwalks and surrounded by beautiful greenery. Gran Cenote attracts swimmers, divers, and snorkelers with its crystal clear waters and underground world.
